Back in 2008, the Government made it compulsory for all non-domestic buildings on construction, sale or rent to have a Non-Domestic Energy Performance Certificate (NDEPC) – including commercial buildings in Radcliffe. The idea is to provide property occupiers with the information to make their building more energy efficient and for potential buyers to compare like-for-like investments on their energy efficiency.

Our Director – Chris Newman FRICS NDEA – is a registered Non-Domestic Energy Assessor with a Level 4 qualification in Commercial EPC assessment. He provides commercial EPCs across Radcliffe and provides a fast, cost-effective and comprehensive service. As a Fellow of the RICS, the quality of service that Chris can provide is far beyond a typical Energy Assessor – making his services all the more valuable.
That skill level means that Chris is adept at assessing even complex and large buildings, with a wide range of use types including light industrial, heavy industrial, office and retail.

What’s in a non-domestic EPC?
NDEPCs (often referred to just as EPCs) are mandatory for commercial buildings under construction, for sale or rent. They are a rating of the energy performance potential of the building and its services, provided in a document which includes recommendations on potential improvements and indicative payback periods. The reports are produced from SBEM calculations and can only be generated by a qualified commercial energy assessor. Ideally, this will be one with in-depth knowledge of Radcliffe and the primary local building materials like our own assessor, Chris.
